In a display of firepower reminiscent to the explosive holiday fireworks show, the INS Dragonslayers crushed 10 hits in the 3rd inning to score 10 runs and put the game out of reach. The 'Slayers won the game 20-6 in just 4 innings.
With a total of 20 hits scattered throughout the line-up, the entire team contributed. The 'Slayers "Scoops" Maynard was 3-3, scoring three runs and putting on a defensive display at shortstop. Kim "Hit 'em where they 'Ain't" Goodwin and Steve Mendez also scored three runs. Rounding out the offensive display was John Krejcha's double and triple, Dusty Boyd's three run homer, and Lydia O'Neil, the one-woman wrecking crew with her 4 RBI and 3-4 night. Jeremy Schultz, Steve Umphreys, Joel Vincent, Kelly Vincent, Jason Dominguez and Ross "Strike out the Side" Roesner all take perfect batting averages into their next game. Megan Hughes rapped her first single of the season and collected her first RBI to cap off the 10 run 3rd inning.
The 'Slayers next game is April 22 at 5:30 at TwinCreeks.
