DRAGONSLAYERS' PENCIL IN ANOTHER WIN!!!

Sunnyvale...."INS Dragonslayers! Go have a pizza and a beer, on Twin Creeks.", says a Twin Creeks employee. "Your game has been delayed." An Outback Tournament had over run and the Dragonslayers/INCYTE game was going to have to wait. Finally ... 6:00 and the tournament was over. The game was about to get under way.

INCYTE was up. Boy were they up. The INS defense was sleeping or maybe it was the beer.

Crack double, Crack single, Crack single, Slam triple, Bloop double .... Whew! INCYTE ends up with 4 runs.

INS up, with Dominguez at the top of the order. Jason pounds one out to center field. A normal man would have only got a single, but "Wheels" pulled out a triple to start off the Dragonslayers. Kelly Vincent followed up with a single to bring Jason around. Then Mike Vannuci's double pulled in Kelly and Ross Roesner's single brought Mike in. But that was it for INS. Close inning ... but INS was down by one, Score 3-4.

Second inning was more of the same from INCYTE: Home run, single, double, triple. Geez ... 4 more runs. INS Choked in the 2nd, which left the score 8-3.

After allowing one more run in the 3rd INS trailed INCYTE 9-3.

It didn't look good for the Dragonslayers. THAT was about to change.

Dominguez leads off, CRACK, deep center. Jason dashes all the way around for his second in the park home run, in as many weeks. Mike Vannucci steps up to the plate, "Hmmm..... which fence shall I hit it over. CRACK .... over the left center fence. HOME RUN! Now for the last of the KnowledgeNet Team. Mitch Alvarez .... CRACK, he breaks his pencil. See, Mitch was keeping score for the day and not very happy about it. Okay back to the game.
Kim Goodwin - Single Ross Roesner - Double Steve Leger - Double Katie Pile - second single of the day Katie Pile is new to the Dragonslayers as well as INS. Before the game, Katie said, "Well I don't know how I will do. I haven't played in four years." I will tell you, 2 for 3 on the day is great. Good job.

After it was all done, the Wizards banged in 5 runs.

Dragonslayer defense takes control. One out, Two outs, Oops , Three outs. That is how the next three innings went for INCYTE.

With INCREDIBLE defense, the Dragonslayers hold down INCYTE. Meanwhile the offense is credited with 3 more runs.

INS Dragonslayer has their fifth straight victory.
